Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium funding is additional government funding allocated to schools in England to support pupils who may face barriers to learning, including those eligible for free school meals, children who have been looked after, and those from service families. At our school, we are committed to ensuring that every child achieves their full potential, regardless of their background or circumstances.
We use Pupil Premium funding strategically to provide targeted support, high-quality teaching, and enrichment opportunities that enhance learning and wellbeing. This may include additional academic interventions, pastoral support, access to extracurricular activities, and resources to ensure all pupils can fully participate in school life.
Our approach focuses on high-quality teaching, early identification of need, and targeted interventions such as phonics, maths support, speech and language provision, and nurture programmes. We also work to remove barriers to learning by supporting pupils’ wellbeing, attendance, and access to wider opportunities.
We carefully monitor the impact of our spending to ensure it makes a meaningful difference, helping to close attainment gaps and promote equality of opportunity for all our pupils.
In summary: Pupil Premium funding enables us to provide additional, targeted support so that all pupils—regardless of their starting point—can thrive, achieve well, and fully participate in s
